The Blue Ball, a quaint pub nestled in the heart of Somerset, holds a special place in my heart. With a pent-up need for fun after a fallow year at Glastonbury, the pub was packed with eager customers. The left-hand bar crowd, bored and waiting for their A-level results, embraced the festive spirit, upgrading their lime and soda to snakebite and black. The paper hats became a symbol of the summer's joy, and the pub's gamble paid off. This experience taught me that life is what you make it, and that a little creativity and a reason to celebrate can go a long way. But here's where it gets controversial...
