As a Global Communications Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of this mission, crafting compelling written content that inspires and informs. From public relations to marketing, digital, and network-specific copywriting, your words will shape the narrative and drive GBPN's global communications strategy.
The Role:
- 12-month consultancy contract, working remotely with potential travel.
- Reporting to the Global Communications Manager.
- Collaborating closely with the Global Communications team, Project Success Hub, country project managers, and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Copywriting and content development across a range of formats, including blogs, news articles, opinion pieces, social media content, case studies, brochures, presentations, website pages, email marketing, and more.
- Supporting the maintenance of communications calendars and publication pipelines.
- Posting content on social media platforms using Zoho.
- Assisting with basic website content updates.
- Contributing to GBPN and CRUX newsletters.
- Undertaking additional communications tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
GBPN is seeking a skilled communicator with a degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field, and a passion for climate change mitigation, disaster risk reduction, international development, urban planning, or sustainable energy policies.
Selection Criteria:
- Ability to write clearly and adapt to different briefs.
- High literacy and complex issue contextualization skills.
- Fluency in English with exceptional professional writing abilities.
- Talent for translating technical content into accessible narratives.
- Confidence in engaging diverse stakeholders across regions.
- Experience in interviews, review, and approval processes.
- Basic social media platform and audience engagement strategy knowledge.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Independence, remote work, and proactive mindset.
- Digital collaboration tool proficiency (Zoom, Google Suite).
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- NGO or INGO experience.
- Knowledge of climate mitigation, renewable energy, or sustainable buildings.
- Social media targeting and analytics familiarity.
- CRM (especially Zoho) experience.

- High-quality communications outputs aligned with GBPN strategies and style guidelines.
- Effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
- Consistent meeting of agreed deadlines.
